WELCOME TO 2018!

Our January 2018 WSC Calendar is a bit different than most of you are used to. It is patterned after the Biblical principles of “binding and loosing.”

“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Mt. 18:18 NKJV)

We have used this format only once before and I want to share here one of my favorite responses to that calendar:

I reached out to a new WSC Director – a 2nd grade teacher in a Christian School – who had only used the calendar for one month. “Smarty” me thought she just m i g h t need a bit of help from the “pro.” Her immediate reaction to “binding/loosing?” “GREAT – OPPOSITES!” Let me add to that – “SYNONYMS and ANTONYMS.”

The point – this calendar is a GREAT TEACHING TOOL both spiritually and educationally. We would LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU about how you apply it to your WSC group. As always, the specific prayer points can be adjusted to fit the age group/circumstances of your Club. You might just need to allow more time for prayers as the Holy Spirit expounds upon/expands them!

A number of the prayer points this month came from global WSC Directors and other friends of ENI. One (which is obvious on the calendar) gave another take on “binding/loosing.” He said he looks at it as “forbidding/allowing.” Either way, it is exercising our God-given authority over the enemy. (Luke 10:19)

So, all that said, why this format for beginning 2018? I believe/have been sensing that harnessing our individual authority in combined effort to start the new year this way will help push back the darkness in our areas of influence and geographical locations to lay a foundation for more fervent/effective prayers/answers going forward in 2018.

So, grab your WSC kids, invite family, teachers, pastors, etc., etc. and have a POWER-FULL PRAYER PARTY to “Kick-Start” the New Year.
