Just a few glances of what it looks like…FABULOUS!
For more than two years now, Family Prayer Day at Appalachian House of Prayer in Boone, NC has been my favorite prayer set. Pray-ers from the ages of 2 to…well, you get the picture…gather the first Saturday of every month.
God’s children of numerous ages eagerly assemble for two hours of prayer, praise, creative arts and then fellowship around a communal table.
Praying for “others like themselves” around the globe has opened the eyes of children, parents and other adults to the power of agreement found in interGenerational prayer.
Much of our time is spent pouring over a map of the world, tossing and hugging our Globall and interceeding for the nations.
Developing empathy and compassion, seeing God answer prayers in far away lands, praying for friends and family has all “matured the saints” – young and old!
If you aren’t already praying interGenerationally (at home, Church or school) we highly encourage you to do so. None of you will ever be the same and neither will those for whom you pray!
Let us know how we can serve you.
