Just this morning (June 27) – being a bit panicky about getting a letter to you this month – I was relieved to finally “get it!” I had just received our newsletter from Elam Ministries which reaches into Iran and beyond. Along with that and with my “verse of the day,” I understood my (Spirit-ordered) delay.

16 Muslims Hear the Gospel During a 3-hour Layover

God is using courageous Iranian Christians to plant the Gospel across the region. “Oh Lord, if anyone needs to hear the Gospel…I am available.” This was Behrang’s prayer as he waited in the Iran Airport for his flight to train emerging Iranian evangelists. In three hours, he had witnessed to 16 people: nine Iranians, three Afghans and four Nigerians…all Muslims and all open to the gospel.

IRANIAN CHRISTIANS: A LIGHT TO THE AFGHAN PEOPLE

“Unexpectedly, persecution of Christians by the Iranian government has contributed to the spread of the Gospel among non-Iranians living there. Courageous Iranian Christians are taking the gospel also to Afghan refugees living in Iran! Elam’s Co-founder, Sam Yeghnazar says, “The ‘beyond’ is growing.”
