PLEAST DON’T FAINT!

NO TIME FOR THAT! Now, more than ever. GOD, THE CHURCH AND THE WORLD NEED FOR US TO BE SPIRITUALLY ALIVE, WELL AND ‘KICKING’!

I did my homework on this one. “People faint when they are tired, in shock, feel closed in or crowded, or when dieting. It can also be caused by depression in the action of the heart. Symptoms: Lightheadedness, falling, blackness before eyes, dizziness, weak pulse, pallor.” (From Murphty’s Nursing Course)

“Fainting is a loss of consciousness due to cerebral anemia or insufficient blood to the brain.” (Taber’s Medical Dictionary)

I did a double take on the “Cerebral anemia” thing. Wow! It gives me just what I need to fuel my spiritual fire regarding my plea to you this month. The analogy is undoubtedly quite clear to you, so I needn’t elucidate about it. Run it through your own spiritual insights. In fact, if you’re a pastor, this will preach!

Neither can we get too relaxed. Keeping our spiritual muscle (singular) flexed and ready for action at any given moment or opportunity is totally pertinent these days. So, “fainting” spiritually is a no-no.

The Word is replete about keeping our ‘Spiritual Equilibrium’...especially as we “see the day approaching”. There’s no time to call on spiritual ‘paramedics’ to revive us. Let’s just stay revived.

For starters, these are the passages that jumped out at me:

Isaiah 40:28-31; Psa. 27:13, 14; Joshua 1:9l 1Tim.1:7

The clincher on this one is that we WIN IN THE END…”if we faint not!”
