Penned by Esther Ilnisky back when pens were more important than they are today, this article is worth reading today maybe more than when it was first published.
Esther says;
Dear Reader,What you are about to read herein, then titled, “Christian Life-style in the end time””, first appeared in the “Pentecostal Evangel”, June 29, 1980, and reprinted as a cover-featured article, April, 1991. A letter from the Editor requesting the reprint stated, “A reader suggested a reprint and the staff thinks it would be a good idea.”At the time of its first printing, we had just returned to America after 7 years in war-torn Lebanon where we experienced some raw realities about the approaching end times.To re-do the article again now is not my idea. For several months, the Holy Spirit has been nudging me to take a good, long look at some of my past writings. This is one of them. I have not changed a word of it except to re-title it. It will amaze you, I promise, to realize how its content – though based on events of that time period – still blatantly, palpably relates to the Word which is, of course, changeless and forever relevant.I toyed with the idea of omitting the opening paragraph because it gave the article a rather negative beginning. At the time, there was a rash of false prophets going around confusing and misleading people. I believe the Holy Spirit prompted me to leave it as is so, obviously, it just might need to be reiterated in 2013.I trust this piece will do its job to alert you, my readers, to roll up your spiritual sleeves, determining to fulfill your GOd-ordained purpose on Planet Earth……for such a (critical) time as this: “Jesus’coming – indeed too close for comfort!”Esther
