I Will Pray for the Children of the World Today!
1Peter 5:7 “Cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you.”
You Count!
Jesus loves me, this I know? Yes, it’s true! There are so many ways to tell you this. The most powerful one being that He went to the cross for you so that _ one day _ you may live in Heaven with Him forever. Repenting of your sins, asking God to forgive you and inviting Jesus into your heart are the best things you can ever do.
That’s the “GOOD NEWS!” However there is much more! Jesus didn’t stop there; He made sure everyone – especially adults – know just how important you are and how close He wants you to be to Him. He even corrected His disciples when they tried to keep children from “bothering” Him. That had to be a surprising, embarrassing moment for the disciples but it was also a very important teaching moment for everyone. (Matthew 19:14 “…suffer the little children and forbid them not…” )
Yes, children, Jesus loves you!
YOU COUNT TO JESUS!
He wants to hear what you are thinking and feeling, what you need and what your hopes and dreams are. Jesus says that you can bring all your troubles, all your fears and all your needs to Him because He cares for you.
A really neat thing to do once you have done that, is to then pray for others that may have the same needs, hopes and dreams that you do. We call that our “50/50 Principle.” Take 50% of the prayer for yourself and then give 50% away by praying for others.
For example:
Talk to Jesus about the tough day you had in school – perhaps trouble with a teacher or your friends. After you’ve asked for His help with this, then pray for other children around the world who are also having trouble at school. Trust me, you’ll feel a lot better!
Remember: YOU COUNT TO JESUS and YOU CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON HIM!
