CHILDREN ARE THE LAMBS OF THE FLOCK

(Editors note: Jan. 18, 2015 WSC calendar prayer was for boys to love Jesus and desire to grow into Godly men. As our author, John, and the children of Esther’s Prayer Brigade prayed that prayer that day, John was inspired to act as he writes and shares about.)

Christ said to the church, “Feed my lambs.” (John 21:15). The lambs belong to the sheep and the sheep to the shepherd.”

That instruction never meant just girls or just boys only, but all lambs. As we kept meeting for prayers and subscription to Esther’s Prayer Brigade (EPB), the numbers for girls were fundamentally bigger than the boys. Therefore, I felt the need to bring more boys to the prayer Brigade because they are also lambs that need spiritual feeding and the instruction of Christ. So, our group agreed that in our Friday prayer meeting, every member of the group should bring a boy with them.

Until we fundamentally involve both boys and girls, women and men in the ministry of God, our ministry will never be complete. Hence, challenging other fellow members and prayer warriors to invite more boys so that we have both to feed them spiritually. That is what Christ needs us to do. We don’t need to be of one section and not all sections when it comes to Involving children in spiritual growth programs. These programs help the children to get to God and appreciate the goodness of God in their lives and learn how they can be His servants amongst the fellow children.

We all know that “All men (including children), of right, belong to God.”Behold, all souls are mine,” say the Lord. “As the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine.” Ezek. 18:4

This is enough to tell us that we all need to be servants of God, children inclusive. We adults must involve children in ministry programs as much as we can. We are those who are helping children lay a strong foundation of spiritual nourishment and service today upon which they can build lives and futures that will continue to serve and glorify God. Any parent or adult that doesn’t bring children closer to God is denying these children an opportunity to serve and enjoy the spiritual fruits from God at an early age to live spirit filled lives.

I am so thankful that I have been given this opportunity to share something with World Shapers around the Globe. Let us keep this blessed work going forward as the Lord has given all we need to equip our children as His servants. These lambs really need a lot of spiritual attention from us all. I thank Mama Esther, her husband, Aunt Mary and her husband, plus the World Shapers Ambassador for giving me this opportunity to share what God has put on my heart.

May the Lord continue to richly bless you in all your endeavors.
