Luke 2:10-14

10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

What do you think it would have been like to have been there, World Shapers? I believe it would have been so awesome to have been present at that moment; having a Heavenly messenger bringing the good news in such splendor, “Do not be afraid!” He was only trying to calm them and to give the most important message – the message of Christmas.

Today, we spend so much time choosing, buying and wrapping gifts for everyone we can loose sight of the fact that the real gift is right here in our hearts. “Peace to those on whom his favor rests. “ I want to be one of those on whom it rests!

As the days go by, we tend to forget this beautiful gift – one that should be always remembered, not only on Christmas day or ” in season.”

Today I pray that you will remember Christ was born for you, too. To bring you peace, hope and love.

Would you pray, along with me, for others to receive God’s gift this Christmas?
