I’m in the middle of a “downsizing” experience. Actually, it’s quite an adventure! Perusing “gems” from past teachings given by Holy Spirit inspiration, I think things like, “Wow, did I say that?” Or, “Now, that’s quite a profound, original Estherism.” Or, “How did I ever have the audacity to say that?”  Hence, the subject of this newsletter.

A memory surfaced about an experience I had when visiting a very large church as guest speaker at the Pastor’s invitation. The praisers and full band were tech-perfect and in high gear, so to speak. The praise crescendo with clapping, flag waving, dancing, etc, made the place vibrate. I was really “into it” so, why was I slowly getting nervous, edgy, restless? (You all know I’m not given to “stage fright!”

All too soon, it was “my turn.” Behind a pulpit much too large and elaborate for me, with my customary engaging smile, I opened my mouth to greet the people. Instead of what I had prepared, I heard myself declare (yell!),

THE HOLY SPIRIT SAYS, ‘PRAY LIKE YOU PRAISE!’

After a seemingly l o n g, deafening silence, (gaining some spiritual equilibrium and voiding my notes) this is what HE continued to say:

“Your pastor longs for intercessory prayer to be a priority in this church.” So, let’s get our heads wrapped around what the Holy Spirit intends for us to receive from what HE just said. HIS question is this:

“If your dedication to intercession became commensurate with your dedication to praise and carried with it the same VELOSITY, VORACITY, VOLUME AND VIGOR, what would it SOUND (AND LOOK) like?’”

Now, having had that brought to MY mind, I ask YOU the same question…

…for such a (critical!) time as this! SELAH
