MERRY CHRISTMAS!

2016 – A Year of Answered Prayers and Encouragement!

What a year it was! We were busy about His business. I am so pleased, grateful and encouraged to say that 2016 saw a number of our prayers answered!

  1. There are more praying children around the world now than there were at the start of 2016!
  2. More national and international ministries reached out for help to make their ministry/events more InterGenerational.
  3. Friends of ENI responded to the need to raise funds to re do our website/newsletter.
  4. World Shapers Club has grown!
  5. We named Sonia Morley our first WSC Ambassador!
  6. Our newsletter subscriptions are growing!

That’s a lot to be thankful for but there is so much more to do when it come to raising up and releasing intercessors – of all ages.

Intercession (prayer, petition, pleas) continues to be the force by which the hand of God moves. His idea! For those of us so actively involved in this pursuit, it is still confounding to hear the reports of so many church and prayer ministry leaders about the (increasing) difficulty of getting people together to pray. In the last months of this year, I have heard this lament from leaders of local, regional, national and international ministries. The “scary” thing is that they are conveying the same “excuses” we have heard for 25 years- especially with regard to children and intercession.

In one conversation last summer, I conferred with a woman about how to encourage pastors to include children and teenagers in their national prayer event. I was weeping before we finished because the “excuses” that are commonly given to her haven’t changed in all these years.

So, answers to prayers, “YES!” Thanks-giving from grateful hearts.

More prayers/pray-ers needed, “YES!”

We petition you, Lord, to stir your Church for 2017. Revive the corporate prayer meetings in the local assembly and let them make room for the children and young people. Increase the membership and finances of the many, global intercessory prayer groups. Tear down the denominational walls and bring pastors and congregations together to petition you on behalf of their neighborhood and nations. Help us to make the name of Jesus a praise throughout the world…for such a (critical) time as this!
