When prayer for other children gets into the heart and soul of a World Shaper, watch out! Our Ms. Sonia – WSC Ambassador – spent Sunday afternoon with her three grandchildren hosting our first ever, WSC fund raiser. Read about it in her article below.

WSC Ambassador, Sonia Morley

“Sometimes it is hard to occupy my mind with prayers. but, when I remember that prayers are a conversation with God, I relax, open my heart and let my words flow as if I was in front of Him. When I occupy my mind with prayers, all is well.

My Grandson, Guilyan, had been asking me to help him do a lemonade stand for a long time. I kept telling him we would need to have a good purpose. Well, Guilyan is a World Shaper and he suggested we raise funds for World Shapers Club and the materials needed to keep the clubs going.

Last Sunday, my three grandchildren, Guilyan, Shaelen and Rylin, did the lemonade stand as a fundraiser for WSC. It was a blessing! They organized it, handed out flyers and sold the lemonade and cookies. My son handmade the sign for the stand and we were so happy for his help.

The children loved going door to door in the neighborhood to let everyone know about their plan. They also loved waiting for their “customers” to come!

Guilyan, Shaelen and Rylin were also waiting for friends from school to come but none showed up and they were a little disappointed. I told them not to focus on the disappointment but to look at how happy Jesus was to see them working for His Kingdom. That made them very happy!

How many times have we all had a chance to focus on something positive instead of complaining about what we had not been able to accomplish – to occupy our minds with prayers and praise? God motivates us to do the “little” so He can perform the spectacular.”

Thanks, Sonia, that’s a good word for all of us to remember. And, oh yes, they made $42! That’s a lot from a “little!”  GO WORLD SHAPERS!!
