God is working in the hearts of so many children through the WSC Calendar – here’s a “little” story to illustrate that:.

A 2nd grade teacher from Morningside Academy (Florida/US) came to share a (funny/powerful) story that happened in her classroom.

On Monday Dec 11th there was a Christmas Concert at Morningside Church. The next day, Tuesday Dec. 12th, one of her students said,

“Mrs. M., I saw you and your husband yesterday at the concert.”

She replied,

“Really? Awesome that you were there! Wasn’t it beautiful?

Another student, who just happened to be the WSC Calendar Monthly Reader, jumped into the conversation and said,

“I saw you too!”

Sensing that this student had not actually been there she asked,

“Really, where were you sitting?”

His response, “I, I, …..”

“You weren’t there, were you?”,

“No I wasn’t.” he answered with a little smile.

The teacher then suggested they move on and do the WSC calendar prayer point for the day. This little World Shaper read out:

“Ask God to help boys and girls to be truthful. A good reputation is important!”

How appropriate!.

So, the prayer and conversation went on with Mrs. M. explaining what “reputation and truthful means.” It was clear our young World Shaper understood! I’m sure the others got the message, too.

Two things to highlight”

First – Mrs. M chooses, every month, a student to be responsible for reading the prayer point of the day. Following that, the students will pray over that prayer and all other prayers that are in their hearts. (Excellent idea- congratulation Mrs. M!)

Second – My friend, God is always on time to help you use the calendar to address issues that perhaps you would not otherwise notice.

Thank God for the blessing of having the WSC Calendar. That was what Mrs. M. quietly did.
